Wildewood Pride
Sunday of the August long weekend, Pride returns for the start of our 19th year in 2010.
Our annual Pride celebrations at Wildewood begin at 7 p.m. with a parade round the pond led by a bagpipe player (good exercise before dinner and a chance to strut your stuff), followed by a potluck buffet (please bring a dish that doesn't require refrigeration or cooking), a fireworks display at 10 p.m. (please bring a firework or two-with over 125 people attending in 2009, the show lasted 30 minutes), a bonfire if we're allowed with live musicians under a starlit sky and Maynooth Mix Up DJ Brian # spinning tunes till 1 a.m.
It's BYOB, of course and we also ask that you bring a non-perishable food item or three for the local Food Bank.
Overnight camping sites are available for one night only, Sunday, August 1st from 3 p.m. on, and include a hearty breakfast Monday morning for $20.00 per person.
All sites must be cleared by 11 a.m.
Advance reservations are recommended as space is limited. Telephone 613-338-3134 or email us at wildewood@nexicom.net
OPSEU (the Ontario Public Service Employees Union) is sponsoring our Pride for the fourth year in a row.
